  6.                               Advanced Features

  8.   Below are explanations of two of Stuff-It's advanced features. The first
  9.   one is "Making multiple menu selections with Stuff-It" and the second is
  10.   "Using Stuff-It  with  programs that open their own screens".  Please be
  11.   sure to read the FULL Stuff-It users manual before reading the following
  12.   two sections.

  15.                Making multiple menu selections with Stuff-It
  16.   ------------------------------------------------------------------------

  18.   With Stuff-It you can select several menu items and subitems at once and
  19.   have each of their actions performed together. This can  be useful  when
  20.   using a menu like CLI-Menus. For example: let's say we want to print out
  21.   a full directory and subdirectory listing of the disk in drive "DF0". To
  22.   do this we would want to execute the command "DIR DF0: OPT A". Using the
  23.   multiple menu select feature you can select all the necessary menu items
  24.   and/or subitems needed to execute that command at once.  This is done by
  25.   pressing  and releasing the  mouse select (left) button over each of the
  26.   desired menu items and/or subitems while  holding down on the mouse menu
  27.   (right) button  and  not  releasing it until the last selection has been
  28.   made.  In the example above we would select the following items/subitems
  29.   in this order: "DIR", "DF0:", "OPT A" and finaly "Carriage Return".  You
  30.   should notice that as you select each menu item and subitem a check mark
  31.   will appear to the left of its title text. This is to let you know which
  32.   items you have already selected as you can NOT select any item more than
  33.   once. Items and subitems that do not have action associated with them do
  34.   not leave space for the check mark to the left of the title text so they
  35.   will be further left than those that do have action. There is a limit of
  36.   100 items and/or subitems that can be selected at once.

  39.           Using Stuff-It with programs that open their own screens
  40.   ------------------------------------------------------------------------

  42.   Stuff-It always opens its window and displays its menus on the WorkBench
  43.   screen as to avoid  interfering  with your other programs' display. Thus
  44.   when using Stuff-It with a program that  opens its  own screen, you will
  45.   notice that Stuff-It will  cause the WorkBench screen to come forward to
  46.   allow you  to make a menu selection.  Once you make a menu selection (or
  47.   just release  the  menu  button  on the mouse) and you are still holding
  48.   down the command key,  Stuff-It will  return  your  other program to the
  49.   front of the display and output the selected action  (if any) to it.  If
  50.   you are not holding down the command key when you make a menu selection,
  51.   the WorkBench screen will remain in front allowing you to  preview  your
  52.   selection before using it.  To get  your other  programs' window back to
  53.   the front,  just press  and  release the menu  button once while holding
  54.   down the command  key  (you do not have to make a menu selection).  Once
  55.   your other program is in front  again  you can inform Stuff-It to output
  56.   the  selected  action to your program by clicking once on the left mouse
  57.   button  while holding down on the command key (see paragraph 2, page 5).
